Gourmet magazine includes Milwaukee restaurant among Top 50 in U.S.
After dining at hundreds of restaurants across the United States the food critics of Gourmet magazine announced in their October 2006 issue the 2006 list of the Top 50 Restaurants in America and situated at #40 is Milwaukee’s Sanford. Chef Owner Sanford D’Amato states at the top of their web site, “We’ve always tried to make visitors at Sanford feel comfortable and well cared for – like they’re coming into our home.” Sanford’s describes its cuisine format as American Dining, Continental, Eclectic/Int'l, French, Mediterranean, Vegetarian and Contemporary Ethnic. Gourmet’s Top 50 list is compiled only once every five years.
