Allstate Insurance: Milwaukee one of the safest cities for drivers
The Associated Press (AP) ran a story on May 24, 2006 that reports on research conducted by Allstate Insurance Co. on the safest cities for motorists. The study found that Milwaukee was the safest city in the United States for cities with populations between 500,000 and 1 million people.
According to the research study, a Milwaukee driver is likely to experience a crash once every 12.5 years compared with the national rate of one every 10 years.
“While this is the second year that the Wisconsin city has claimed this honor, Milwaukee drivers showed definite driving improvement by moving into this year's overall top 10 ranking as well,” stated the Allstate study.
