Midwest Airlines - Consistently the Best, year after year
In July 2005 Travel+Leisure magazine announced its World’s Best Awards for 2005 and, once again, Midwest Airlines, headquartered in Milwaukee, was selected by the magazine’s subscribers as the "World's Best Domestic Airline.” It is no small feat to achieve that top raking in any year but Midwest Airlines has garnered the highest recognition seven out of the last 10 years. The airline scores are indexed averages of readers' responses in five categories: cabin comfort, food, inflight service, customer service and value.
Quoting a July 11, 2005 story that appeared in RedNova.com, which bills itself as the premier internet destination for science, space, and technology enthusiasts around the globe; Timothy E. Hoeksema, chairman and chief executive officer, “attributed Midwest Airlines' enviable record to the airline's employees, whose service makes a lasting impression on customers.” The RedNova piece further states that Hoeksema “added that the announcement comes on the heels of other very positive achievements for Milwaukee's hometown airline, including wide-ranging schedule and service enhancements, strong load factors and market share figures, the launch of new service to Houston Hobby, and recognition by Corporate Report Wisconsin as ‘Best Airline for Business Travel.’”
